March 26, Monday: - General Meeting Independence Library 6361 Selig Dr. Independence OH 44131. Off Rt.21 (Brecksville Rd.) South of Rockside Rd. 6:30 PM.

Meeting will feature a favorite veterinarian from Cleveland Equine, Sasha Hill.Dr. Hill has been our speaker before and always has a very interesting presentation.*She may talk about getting your horse muscled up for the trail & what to do about the too high-spirited or nervous spring horse, *Lyme’s Disease in horses - it’s becoming ever more present in Ohio every year. Always has been a problem in PA and the East coast, a good informative conversation given it’s a tick born disease and should be on the minds of trail riders based upon some signs to look out for.

*Fevers - common this time of year. Some of the causes and reasons for them and what some vaccines can do to reduce their frequency and severity.*Gastric ulcers - what they look like, how that affects performance. The worst ulcers she ever saw were actually in a trail horse that had what we would perceive to be a wonderful low stress life. So upper level horses aren’t always the commonality.
